Content Editing: Unintended Consequences

Larry Richman over at LDS Media Talk asks the following questions:

Has your family tried filtered movies? What was your experience? What do you think of this approach to creating family-friendly entertainment?

My reply:

My only problem with content editing is that someone still has to watch the bad stuff and the people making the bad movies are still financially rewarded for doing so. Perhaps the ‘clean flicks/clear play’ industry has backfired in this regard.

BetaNews | Android's Open Handset Alliance adds Sony-Ericsson, 13 others: "With this week's addition of 14 new players, the Google-spearheaded OHA now has membership totaling 47 companies. In the smartphone category, Sony Ericsson and Chinese manufacturer Huawei now join HTC, the maker of the G1 Android phone; Motorola, a vendor that's acknowledged plans for an Android device in 2009; LG Electronics; and Samsung."

So, my Verizon contract ends in October. Do you think the Ericsson will have an Android phone by then?
