Just Do It!

I've had this email in my inbox since September from my team lead asking me to look into an error on one of our websites. It was a part of the website that has pretty much everyone on our team is afraid of. I finally thought I would look at it today, and guess what, it took less than two minutes to fix! It was a simple error, but I wasn't willing to understand it. It only took two lines of code to fix.

Lesson learned: don't not do stuff because you think it will take too long.

Avoid Traffic Jams with Microsoft's Live Maps

Microsoft Introduces "Clearflow" Live Traffic Routing Service - Switched: "Microsoft has announced a new tool for drivers to avoid traffic jams. The service, called 'Clearflow', calculates how tie-ups affect backups on local city streets which could mean more accurate rerouting along busy routes."
The service is live on maps.live.com.

Visualizing the Scriptures

I created these visualizations using techniques I'm learning in one of my classes. Pretty cool, huh?

Absolution is resolution

I found this poem I wrote among some old notes at work:

Absolution is resolution

Designation across the nation

Everywhere is people's hair

When the fire is burning

Keep the topic on the optic

Win the nation either way

I am sorry for the worry

I may do just as I may.

Rather than explain the problem

We should come without the plan

We just want a validation

Hear the answer from the man

Build the mindset on the fire

Clear the slate and mind and plan

Make a drastic resolution

Absolution feeds the fan

I think i was stressed at work one day and just needed an outlet. In any case, I think it sounds cool, even though it's complete nonsense.
